CRG PhD Fellow Michel Thill, together with Robert Njangala and Josaphat Musamba, just published a policy briefing on police reform in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. This piece ends their KPSRL-funded ‘Polisi Siku Kwa Siku’ project which aimed to provide a better understanding of the everyday life of police in the city of Bukavu.
Two questions guided their field research: What does the everyday work of street-level police in Bukavu look like? And how can the answers to this question be meaningfully integrated in the programming of police reform?
While a series of three blogs attempted to address the first question, the policy briefing tackles the second. It is available in both English and French.
