The Conflict Research Group (CRG) has extensive expertise in researching the micro-level dynamics of civil conflict and political violence.
Our research activities fall under five main research programmes: The Cultural Politics of Conflict, Governance in Conflict, Humanitarian Aid and Conflict, Landscapes of Conflict, and Regimes of Violence. Research is concentrated in four main regions: Central Asia, South Asia, Southeast Asia and Sub-Sahara Africa, with a strong focus on the Great Lakes Region.
