This research line looks into the role and evolution of religion and various formal and informal faith-based actors in contexts and societies characterised by social change because of conflict and the local impact of globalisation. It concentrates on Islam and Christianity with a geographic focus on Eurasia (the former USSR), Pakistan and India.
