Landlessness and resistance in the Phulbari coal project
This research project aims to explore the role of landless people in violent collective resistance to Mining-Induced Displacement and Resettlement (MIDR) caused by the Phulbari Coal Mining project in Bangladesh. It aims to understand the interaction between the mining company, local elites, landowners and landless people in the competition for access to land.
