Position: Post-Doctoral Researcher

Academic Interests:

Soibam Haripriya’s research interests are anthropology of violence, collective memory, gender and sexuality in armed conflict and Martyrdom in South Asian tradition. Her previous work examines the use of poetry in social anthropology especially in the context of writing of ethnography in sites of violence. In her current research, she focuses understanding how death is perceived by the state and non-state armed groups in the context of violence in Indo-Myanmar border.
