Debates in Conflict & Development - Bordering Europe: The securitization of the Europe's migration and development policies.


Nathan Lauwers is a PhD-researcher at the Centre for EU Studies of the Ghent University, conducting research on Europe’s external policy, with a specific focus on the relation between migration, security and development policy, and specific attention for the EU Emergency Trust Fund for Africa.  He obtained his Master in History at the Free University of Brussels, with a thesis on the transnational networks of the Free Masons in the 19th century and holds a Master European Integration and Development from the Institute for European Studies in Brussels.
