Talk it out!

Talk sessions for international students by students

We aim to create peer support groups by students, for students. In these sessions, we discuss diverse themes and topics that you can relate to. These are based on the requests you send in and would prove most useful to the students. We want to create a safe place where students can share their thoughts and worries, listen to each other, exchange tips, and find comfort with one another.

It's completely normal to not feel okay sometimes. It's okay to feel overwhelmed or uncertain. Recognizing and accepting these feelings is the first step toward healing. Remember, it's okay not to be okay. You're not alone."

Stress

We've all been stressed to take an exam before, it's almost an unavoidable part of being a student. No matter how good they've prepared, no matter how long they've studied, some students find this particularly hard to deal with. We want to hear your thoughts, how do you handle exam stress.

  • May 7th - 18h00 until 19h30 - online

Hey! I am currently finishing my master's degree in Clinical psychology with an internship at the Student Counselling Office of Ghent University.

I also try to spend as much time as possible with the people that I love and I try to support projects that are close to my heart.

I am very enthusiastic and passionate about the talk sessions. It is a safe place for students to express your concerns and difficulties and you can find support and a listening ear from fellow students. See you soon!

Hello everyone. I am studying Clinical Psychology at Ghent University. During the years I was always fascinated by psychology and the magnetism of this science. I have a keen interest in learning more and devoting my time to a better, greater understanding of human behavior, its functions, motivational factors, and ways of expression.

It is fascinating to interact with individuals from different cultures, from all over the world, to learn about the variety of personal values and behavioral expressions.
I am excited to take part in the Talk Session initiative of UGent and hear and share stories with all of you!

Hey! I study clinical psychology and am currently in my second master's degree, during which I am doing an internship at the Student Counselling Office of Ghent University.

In my spare time I like to read, watch series, meet up with friends, play music, etc. I am an energetic and optimistic person and enjoy the little things in life.

Everyone deserves to be heard and the talk sessions seem to me to be the ideal place for that. I am therefore happy to commit myself to this and hope to be able to lend a listening ear to anyone who needs it. Hope to see you soon!
