Giovanni Spina
Giovanni Spina is a PhD Fellow at the University of Catania and is affiliated with the Ghent Institute for International and European Studies (GIES). He holds a BA in Philosophy, an MA in International Studies from the University of Turin, and an MA in China Studies from Zhejiang University. His doctoral research examines how the economic rise of the BRICS group and its recent expansion affect the functioning of the global energy system. Previously, he worked in banking regulatory reporting and later served as a customs officer.
