Tina Kasse B'nicco

Credits: Hermine Van CoppenolleTina Kasse B’nicco is a PhD researcher at the Ghent Institute for International and European Studies (GIES). Her research focuses on the political economy of Africa’s green energy transition, exploring how African states navigate financial constraints and promote alternative models of development finance in multilateral institutions.

After obtaining an MSc in International Politics from Ghent University (summa cum laude), she was awarded a Fayat Scholarship, which enabled her to pursue an MSc in International Political Economy (Research) at the London School of Economics, where she graduated with first-class distinction. Her academic work engages with themes such as international financial subordination, the Wall Street Consensus, and Pan-African financial agency.
