Ann-Sophie Van Baeveghem
Ann-Sophie Van Baeveghem is a teaching assistant and PhD candidate at the Ghent Institute for International and European Studies (GIES), Ghent University. She holds a BA in Journalism from Artevelde University of Applied Sciences (2020), a MSc in EU Studies from Ghent University (2022), and a MSc in Empires, Colonialism and Globalisation from the London School of Economics and Political Science (2023). Her doctoral research examines how ongoing colonial dynamics and legacies are mediated through collective memory in museum practices. Her broader research interests include museum studies, soft power, collective memory, and (de)coloniality.
