Roeljan Wiersema

As member of the research group Developmental Disorders (department Experimental Clinical and Health Psychology), Roeljan Wiersema has conducted research on children and adults with a developmental disorder, such as ADHD or autism spectrum disorders (ASD), using different methodologies including electroencephalogram (EEG), event-related potentials (ERPs), and functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI).

The main focus of his research and that of the research group is to increase insight into the neuropsychological and neurophysiological processes that play a role in developmental disorders, in order to improve diagnostics and interventions. The research group has established a prominent position in the national and international context, which has led to enduring collaborations with leading experts in the field. Roeljan Wiersema (co-)authored 35 publications. He supervised or co-supervised three PhD students up to now.
