Alexandra Hofer

Alexandra Hofer received her master’s degree in Relations Internationales, finalité paix, sécurité et conflits at the Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB) in September 2013. During her master’s program, she interned at the research center Recherche et Enseignement en Politique Internationale, ULB. She then pursued a LL.M in International Public Law at the Centre de Droit International, ULB, during the academic year 2013-2014.

From October 2014 to April 2015, Alexandra completed an internship within the Trial Chamber division at the International Criminal Court.

She began her PhD at Ghent University in July 2015 under the supervision of Professor Tom Ruys. Alexandra’s research is centered on the developments of practice and customary law in the field of international responsibility, focusing on countermeasures and sanctions by non-injured third States and International Organizations.
