Migration Law Research Group

The Migration Law Research Group provides education in the field of asylum and migration law as well as legal anthropology, and coordinates the migration law component of the Human Rights and Migration Law Clinic.

As research is concerned, national, European and international asylum and migration law is studied in an integrated and critical manner, with particular attention for human rights implications. Two particular research lines are the interaction between migration law and human rights from a users’ perspective, and the position of minors in migration law.

The Migration Law Research Group was set up in October 2016, with the appointment of Ellen Desmet as an Assistant Professor of Migration Law.
