The prestigious Jura Falconis Prize rewards the best legal treatise prepared by a master student graduating from one of the Flemish faculties of law.

The jury decided to award this year's prize to Chiara Kerckhof for her master's thesis "Truth finding in civil procedure. The duty to state the facts truthfully and comprehensively". The jury praised Chiara’s work for taking a clear and original position, for the extensive comparative study with five jurisdictions (Belgium, the Netherlands, France, Germany and England), the good theoretical foundation, but at the same time the practical relevance.

The supervisor was Prof Piet Taelman. The commissioner was Prof Wannes Vandenbussche.
