Kick-off event of FWO funded project TASYDIS
(12-01-2026) The kick-off event for the FWO project 'Tackling Systemic Discrimination' (TASYDIS) (G064525N) took place in Leuven on Friday, 9 January 2026.
TASYDIS seeks to investigate whether, and to what extent, law – both at EU and national levels (Belgium, France and Ireland) – is able to respond to enforcement challenges arising from systemic discrimination and how such response could possibly be improved.
During the kick-off meeting, the project was officially launched and presented to representatives from Belgian equality bodies. After presentations by the supervisors and researchers, we engaged in discussion with the attendees.
The TASYDIS-team (Petra Foubert, Ilse Samoy, Wannes Vandenbussche, Elise Muir, Sara Vancleef, Paulina Salmun and Fien Marchand) received valuable feedback on our project and gained insights into effectively combating systemic discrimination in practice.
