28 March 2024: On Wednesday, Kunti Kamara, a regional commander of the rebel group United Liberation Movement of Liberia for Democracy (ULIMO), was sentenced to 30 years imprisonment by a French Court on appeal for complicity in crimes against humanity.
21 March 2024: A German Federal Court has rejected the appeal of a woman, former member of ISIS, who was convicted for crimes against humanity for allowing a 5-year-old Yazidi girl die of thirst in Iraq in 2015.
14 March 2024: Prominent NGOs are taking legal action to stop Danish exports of weapons and military equipment to Israel, for complicity in war crimes and genocide in Gaza.
13 March 2024: On Monday, the Bosnian Appeal State Court upheld the verdict convicting five former police officers for war crimes against Bosniak civilian in the Janja are between 1992 and 1994.
12 March 2024: Yesterday, the Office of the Attorney General (OAG) of Switzerland indicted former Syrian Vice-President Rifaat al-Assad for war crimes and crimes against humanity, committed during the 1982 massacre in Hama, Syria.
8 March 2024: On Wednesday the Federation Supreme Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina upheld the verdict convicting Bosnian Serb Army ex-soldier Milenko Macanovic, for war crimes committed in 1992.
7 March 2024: On Tuesday the Pre-Trial Chamber II of the ICC issued arrest warrants for Sergei Ivanovich Kobylash and Viktor Kinolayevich Sokolov, in the context of the situation in Ukraine, who are allegedly responsible for war crimes committed between October 2022 and March 2023.
6 March 2024: Yesterday, a man from Sweden was indicted for war crimes before the Blekinge District Court of Sweden. The crimes have allegedly been committed on behalf of the terrorist group Daesh/ISIS in Syria in May-June 2015.
5 March 2024: Yesterday, the Prosecutor of the Swiss Federal Criminal Court requested a life imprisonment against Ousman Sonko, former Gambian Interior Minister, who is accused for crimes against humanity.
4 March 2024: On Friday, the ICC Appeals Chamber rejected an appeal from the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela requesting the discontinuation of investigation into alleged crimes against humanity, commited by the Maduro government.
1 March 2024: On Wednesday, the Paris Court of Appeal confirmed the indictment of Roger Lumbala Tshitenga for complicity in and conspiracy to commit crimes against humanity, including murder, torture, rape, pillage and enslavement which took place in 2002-2003 in DRC.
29 February 2024: Yesterday the ICC issued its largest ever reparation order for Ongwen's victims, who has been convicted for crimes against humanity and war crimes. The reparation consists of collective community-based reparation and €52million.
23 February 2024: On Wednesday trials in absentia of former Serbia policeman Milovan Jovanovic and former Serbian military reservist Dejan Racic for war crimes committed during the Kosovo war commenced before Pristina Basic Court.
22 February 2024: Eusebio Torres has been sentenced by a Paraguayan court to 30 years in prison for brutal torture during the country's military dictatorship. He will serve his sentence under house arrest, because of his advanced age.
19 February 2024: Eusebio Torres, a Paraguayan police officer during the military dictatorship, is facing charges of torture for crimes committed in 1976, in connection with the Stroessner dictatorship which left among others approximately 19.000 cases of torture.
14 February 2024: In the Netherlands, a Dutch citizen was arrested for his alleged involvement in the 1994 Rwandan genocide, being suspected of complicity in genocide, incitement to commit genocide, and war crimes.
