Dutch writing school in Saint-Petersburg

(06-02-2019) At the end of January, Tom De Moor (UGent) held an interactive workshop series about professional Dutch writing skills at the NIP (Netherlands Institute in Saint Petersburg)

De Moor is the coordinator and an instructor of business & academic language teaching at the University Language Centre. After a guest lecture at Lomonosov University, he already visited the NIP for a lecture on Dutch & Flemish art history, but this time he tackled academic, email and application writing by combining authentic examples with the participants' own input. These participants ranged from students of Dutch linguistics to teachers, guides and consulate staff. A Belgian movie night and discussion concluded the event, which was attended by Hans Timbremont, consul general of Belgium in Saint-Petersburg.
