Multiple linear regression analysis

Multiple linear regression analysis is an extension of simple linear regression analysis used to assess the association between two or more independent  variables and a single continuous dependent variable. This seminar has two parts: In the first part, multiple linear regression models will be presented, coefficients interpreted and hypothesis tests introduced. In addition, the concepts of interactions, confounding and effect modification will be discussed using examples from the biological sciences. We shall conclude with the influence of variable transformations on the regression coefficients, s.e and test statistics.
