Faculty libraries Z2014_001_010.jpg

The Boekentoren and faculty libraries are open to students. You can go there to look up information, consult collections or enjoy studying in a quiet environment.

  • Request the book you are looking for in advance via the library website so we can get it ready for you.
  • If you are returning a book, you can bring it to any library of Ghent University. We will send you an email a few days before it is due.
  • Some books, magazines and documents can only be consulted on site. We have two work stations available for this purpose, to ensure you have enough time and space, for example to consult legal documents or to do research for your paper or master's dissertation. There are two types of work station:
    • Consultation work stations, where you can consult the collections (usually by appointment)
    • Quiet study places

We also have a very large collection of e-books and e-journals online. You can access these via the library website. Since spring 2020, we have our collection of printed books online has been expanded considerably. Are you looking for something specific in a printed magazine or book? Then we can scan it for you for free.
