The corona check in AY 2020-2021

In 2020-2021, the corona check will be applied differently than during the second-term and resit exams of AY 2019-2020.

We are currently working on a tool for lecturers, exam committees and programme committees to reflect on exam marks, pass rates and study success rates. This means that the most important features of the original corona check tool will remain in place. The newly developed tool must be seen as an integral part of our university’s general education and assessment policy, and our policy on study progress and study efficiency. It will be integrated into UGI-Onderwijsbeleid, Ghent University’s Business Intelligence System.

By mid-February 2021, a first release of the tool will allow that comparisons be made between the exam results of the past term and exam results of the past couple of years. These comparisons, in turn, will whether or not remedial measures for students need to be set up during the second term.
