Ufora for Faculty and Staff

From the start of Academic Year 2019-2020 Minerva will be replaced by Ufora, the new online learning platform of UGent. To realise a solid transfer to this new platform we have selected and published all useful information to get started with Ufora on this page.

Important information
  • Courses from academic year 2019-2020 are already active (for teachers and employees) on Ufora. They have been automatically published by OASIS. If a certain course is not yet visible, please first check if the course has been correctly registered in OASIS.
  • Students have access to their courses two weeks before the official start of the academic year. As an instructor you can change this date via the settings of the course. Student can also self enrol in courses via the Ufora Menu > Enroll for course. This option needs to be activated by the teacher in the course settings.
  • Usually each course has a single course offering. It is however possible to combine course offerings of different courses or to link courses to different course offerings. This is all possible in OASIS. Further instructions will follow in a screencast.
  • Minerva will still be available in archive mode

Ufora is new and everyone will need to learn how to use it. You can learn in several ways.

  • TRAINING: Take part in one of the training sessions. More information can be found here
  • ACTIFORA: Ufora is very suitable to accommodate active learning. Do you want to learn more about the educational possibilities and how to use them? Take part in an ACTIFORA workshop. These workshops are organised by the ACTIVO-team and take place at different faculties.
