Due to the increased workload we are looking for Geophysicists to strengthen our Client Deliverables Department in Nootdorp (The Netherlands) to perform interpretation and reporting of geophysical data and to support other departments with geological background information.

The Client Deliverables Department is responsible for the processing, interpretation, reporting and QC of the field data acquired during offshore operations. Typical projects include large site Wind Farm Site characterization, pipeline inspection survey, site and route surveys, magnetic clearance survey (UXO).

The main tasks of the Data Processor will include:

  • Processes data into digital information following Client requirements.
  • Maintains and adjusts existing data collections.
  • Prepares measurement data, establishes parameters and performs calculations.
  • Monitors quality of the project implementation; identifies risks and informs Project owners.
  • Contact point for internal and external customers regarding the data processing aspects and progress of projects (in office).
  • Identifies and proposes recommendations for improvements in processes for data collection and data processing
  • Maintaining appropriate quality standards even when under pressure.
  • Adhering to company QA/HSE standards at all times, and demonstrate thorough awareness of and compliance with the QA/HSE system and its requirements.

The successful candidate has a keen interest in the field of Hydrography. The candidate is a team player who can work on own initiative with the ability to communicate effectively with the many nationalities that make up the Client Deliverables Department. An out-going nature to interact frequently and repeatedly with colleagues regarding project details. Flexibility is necessary and appreciated. The candidate will be analytical and very accurate.

This position is focused on working mainly offshore for a period of 195 days based on regular rotations of four weeks. Office assignments (up to four consecutive weeks and for a maximum of 100 days per year) may also be required each year.

This position requires:

  • M.Sc. or B.Sc. in Hydrography or related subject;
  • Knowledge of company specific acquisition, processing software (e.g. Starfix, Caris, Quincy, Qimera, Fledermaus, EIVA);
  • Previous knowledge on AUV/ASV surveys is beneficial.
  • Conversant with acoustic equipment;
  • Excellent knowledge of English language (verbal and in writing);
  • The ability to adapt quickly to new software packages;
  • Be a team player and have solid computer skills;
  • Dutch residency or EU citizen willing to relocate.
