It is our pleasure to invite you to the conferences ICOOPMA 2022 and EuroDIM 2022, which will be jointly organized in the medieval city of Ghent, from 3 to 8 July 2022. Both conferences have a long history as separate entities, and will also keep their individual character during this edition. You are, however, invited to join the complete joint conference, which should allow additional cross-fertilization of ideas and contacts. In the conference program, you will find sessions exclusive to one of the conferences, but also joint sessions, thanks to the strong relation between optical materials and material defects. We sincerely hope you will enjoy both the scientific content of the conference and the atmosphere of the venue and the city.
