UGCT organizes a doctoral schools specialist course in October.

This course aims to help students who are interested in using micro-CT in their own research, or who have just started using it, by introducing them to the advantages and the limitations of micro-CT, to the theoretical considerations behind it, and finally to best practices when using this measurement technique. This contains an introduction to the following aspects:

  • X-ray physics and working principles behind micro-CT
  • Hardware en equipment considerations
  • Tomographic reconstruction (processing the raw data)
  • Visualizing and quantitatively analyzing the reconstructed data with specialized software
  • Inspiring examples of use cases, including tips and tricks

You can register through the doctoral schools website.
