Haichao Li obtained the Master’s degree of Environmental Science in 2017 at Northwest Agriculture & Forest University, China. His master’s thesis was about how bamboo charcoal influences antibiotic resistance genes and microbial community during chicken manure composting. In the same year, he won the scholarship from China Scholarship Council (CSC) and started a PhD about the indirect effect of soil texture through regulating moisture on organic matter mineralization, under supervision of Prof. Steven Sleutel and Prof. Jan Van den Bulcke (Woodlab).
