Lucia obtained a bachelor's degree in Agronomic Science Engineering from Polytechnic University of Catalonia followed by a master's degree in Agro- and Environmental Nematology from University of Ghent. Her master's thesis investigates the interactions between entomopathogenic and plant-parasitic nematodes in tomato root systems, focusing on the behavioural responses of Meloidogyne incognita juveniles. In October 2024, she started her doctoral research in the SoFer group on the role of nematode in nutrient cycling across different agronomic practices, under the supervision of Prof. Stefaan De Neve and Dr. Junwei Hu.
