Anna Mokry

Anna Mokry graduated in 2018 with a degree in Veterinary Medicine and bachelor's degree in biomedical and biotechnology sciences from Vetmeduni Vienna (Austria). From 2018 to 2019, she worked as a veterinary assistant at the Aschheim Equine Clinic (Germany). She then completed a Residency in Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation (Equine Track) from 2019 to 2023 at Ghent University, Department of Surgery, Anaesthesia and Orthopaedics of Large Animals.

Since 2023, she has been a PhD student under the supervision of Prof. dr. Catharina De Schauwer. Her research focuses on the development of injectable, gelatin-based hydrogels to promote bone regeneration in horses and to advance regenerative therapies in equine orthopaedics.

Current project: Injectable hydrogels combined with mesenchymal stem cells to treat bone cysts in horses.
