How to take a proper passport photo?

Instructions passport photo for enrolment application.

Stand in front of a white wall in a well-lit room; avoid shadows caused by incident light;
Use your smartphone; a resolution of 2 Megapixels is more than enough;
Don't take a selfie; let someone else take the picture;
Your face should be free and easily recognizable;
Take the picture in portrait mode (taller than wide); your face should fill about 2/3 of the picture;
Keep your head straight forward and look straight into the camera.
