ENLIGHT

An alliance of 10 European partners

Consisting of the University of the Basque Country (ES), the University of Bern (CH), the University of Bordeaux (FR), Comenius University Bratislava (SK), the University of Galway (IE), Ghent University (BE), the University of Göttingen (DE), the University of Groningen (NL), the University of Tartu (EE), and Uppsala University (SE). We combine efforts in the areas of education, research, and societal service.

What can ENLIGHT offer for students?

  • Accessible and stimulating international learning experiences: from online courses, Virtual Exchange, and short-term mobility in Blended Intensive Programmes to “traditional” Erasmus exchanges and jointly developed programmes where you spend one or more semesters at another institution. In all this, we emphasize inclusive and green mobility.
  • Access to flexible, online, and blended learning options from ENLIGHT partners. Here you can find the current offering of online and blended ENLIGHT courses. In the future, you will be able to enroll in online courses from ENLIGHT partners through the ENLIGHT Course Catalogue. In this way, you get access to the best courses and teachers across various disciplines, and the opportunity to collaborate with international students.
  • A clear societal engagement: through challenge-based education, you can help find solutions to societal challenges and contribute to making an impact. See what students think about challenge-based education within ENLIGHT.
  • The ENLIGHT Student Network, where student representatives from the 10 universities are involved in decision-making and contribute to a European student community. Does this sound like something for you?

ENLIGHT courses

Do you have room in your curriculum to take a course in an international context? Then consider an experience through ENLIGHT. Below you’ll find an overview of ENLIGHT courses that are offered online or in a blended format. Your study programme will determine whether the course fits into your curriculum and will communicate with you about this. Click on the link behind each course to check whether you meet the entry requirements and to find more information about the content and registration procedure. Please note that there are deadlines both at Ghent University and at the partner institution. In many cases, a selection procedure applies, as the number of available spots is limited.

Virtual mobility

These courses are offered entirely online: both the classes and the assessments (exams) take place online.
