We are pleased to invite you to the screening of 'Mandarinebi' at KASK Cinema, with an introduction by Gaëlle le Pavic, CESSMIR researcher.

Gaëlle researches the social consequences of borders that are not (fully) recognized by the international community. She did fieldwork in Abkhazia. The film "Mandarinebi" (tangerines in Georgian) introduces us to Abkhazia through the story of Margus and his tangerine farm, neighbor Ivo and a Georgian soldier and a Chechen mercenary recovering from their injuries in Ivo's home. The introduction will be in English, the film ( in which several languages are spoken) will be subtitled in English.
