Strategic objectives
Collaborative Interdisciplinary Partnerships
We actively build and strengthen partnerships with Centres of Expertise (CoE) partners, national and international collaborators, and the pharmaceutical industry. By sharing resources and infrastructure, we enable high-impact research projects and foster long-term collaborations to advance clinical pharmacology and pharmacotherapy.
Excellence in Research
Our research programs focus on developing groundbreaking methods and scientific insights that can be translated from bench to bedside. We promote interdisciplinary research that accelerates innovation and improves patient outcomes.
Excellence in Education
Education is a cornerstone of our mission. We develop advanced training programs to attract and support talented students, researchers, and educators. Our educational initiatives include an Interdisciplinary Certified Training Program for Clinical Pharmacology by the Dutch Society for Clinical Pharmacology and Biopharmacy (target audience: clinicians and pharmacists) and a Master of Medicine in Specialist Medicine (Clinical Pharmacology) and PhD programs designed to shape the next generation of leaders in the field.
Visibility
We are committed to engaging with key stakeholders — including patients, healthcare professionals, academia, policy makers, and industry — to share knowledge and build trust. Through scientific symposia, citizen science events, social media communication, and annual reporting, we ensure our activities remain transparent and impactful.
Impact
Our work aims to refine drug treatment guidelines and policies, promote best practices in medicine use, and ensure the implementation of (cost-)effective interventions in clinical practice. We contribute actively to national and international guidelines and serve on advisory boards to help shape the future of pharmacotherapy.
Together, we are working toward a safer, more effective, and patient-centered future for medication use.
