Research Focus
Our research focuses on improving the quality, safety, and effectiveness of medication use, mainly in the primary care population. We design and evaluate interventions to prevent and manage drug-related problems such as non-adherence, administration errors, incorrect dosing, misuse, and drug interactions. Particular attention is given to chronic conditions, older adults, and self-medication. We are committed to advancing and investigating as a vital component of sustainable, future-oriented healthcare. By developing and integrating evidence-based strategies in pharmacy practice, we aim to support healthcare teams in optimizing medication use and improving patient outcomes.
'Drugs don’t work in patients who don’t take them,' highlights a key truth: clinical pharmacology develops effective therapies, but pharmaceutical care ensures they are used correctly. Together, they transform potential into real-world outcomes. High-quality pharmaceutical care depends on collaboration — among healthcare professionals, researchers, and disciplines — to deliver safer, smarter, and more sustainable care."
