  • arch buckling criteria based on geometrical imperfections and erection criteria
  • non-continuous stiffening of thin walled elements in compression;
  • effects of rib distortion on orthotropic plated decks - numerical simulation of structures subject to impact load;
  • control of wind induced hanger vibrations;
  • in situ bridge and tunnel monitoring;
  • applications of advanced materials in bridge engineering.
