The electrification of vehicles, together with the ever-increasing need for more lightweight and durable designs, is putting the NVH performances of the transmission in the spotlight. Mechanical transmissions transmit loads and motions by Elasto-Hydrodynamic Lubricated (EHL) contacts. The development of numerical models for EHL contacts is of paramount importance to guarantee an accurate estimate of the system-level NVH performances.
