iSi Health Postdoc Rising Star award

Annette Caenen received the iSi Health Postdoc Rising Star award from the iSi Health KU Leuven Institute at the iSi Health Expo in Leuven on March 12th. Her awarded work,  “An in silico biomechanics framework for ultrasound shear wave elastography to measure myocardial stiffness”, demonstrates how advanced biomechanical modelling in combination with ultrasound can extract deeper mechanical insights from ultrasound imaging. This award will also help support her travel to the World Conference of Biomechanics in July, where she will present this work. This achievement reflects a strong collaboration between our group, the Cardiovascular Imaging and Dynamics lab at KU Leuven and Peirlinck’s lab at TU Delft | Mechanical Engineering.
