A large-scale demonstration project of vascular self-healing concrete is complete!

Within the scope of the SMARTINCS project, a large-scale demonstration of self-healing concrete using vascular networks was recently completed in collaboration with BESIX. Nine 2 m² and 10-centimeter-thick mock-up retaining concrete walls with and without embedded vascular networks were built on an active construction site of the Henneaulaan Bridge project in Zaventem.
