Featured Paper Award in Engineering Structures for Senne Strobbe and prof. Wouter De Corte

The paper 'Vibration Serviceability assessment of footbridges: Extending the application range of current design procedure" was recently awarded 'Featured Article' in the distinguished journal Engineering Structures (IF : 7.6). The developed calculation methodology was verified based on results of vibration measurements on a bicycle bridge in Puurs. Many of the recent graduates of the Master of Civil Engineering Technology study program will remember performing the vibration tests on this bridge for the course Bridge Engineering by prof. Wouter De Corte. Congratulations to the authors (Senne Strobbe (UGent, KULeuven), Peter Van den Broeck (KULeuven), Wouter De Corte (UGent) and Katrien Van Nimmen (KULeuven).
