Kito Luyten has joined!

After completing his Civil Engineering masters at Ghent University, Kito has joined our lab as a new PhD researcher under supervision of prof. Robby Caspeele and dr. Wouter Botte. His research focuses on the development of a probabilistic framework for plasticity models related to the treatment of discontinuity regions in concrete structures taking into account uncertainties and time-dependent degradation, establishing a more consistent reliability-based design and safety assessment of such discontinuity regions in new and existing concrete structures.
