Travel Information
Most of the participants will probably come by air plane, arriving at Brussels International Airport (Zaventem). The easiest way to get to Ghent from this airport is by train. You can take a train directly from the airport to Ghent (Gent - Sint Pieters). Another possibility is as follows: from the airport take the train to Brussels. You can change train at the North Station (Brussel Noord – Bruxelles Nord), the Central Station (Brussel Centraal – Bruxelles Central), or the South Station (Brussel Zuid – Bruxelles Midi). In one of these stations, take the train to Ghent (Gent – Sint Pieters). Trains travelling by Aalst are somewhat slower. So, if you are in a hurry, take a train to Ghent not travelling by Aalst.
If you need an invitation letter for your visum application, please contact the conference secretariat.
The local currency in Belgium is the EURO. Major credit cards are widely accepted all over Belgium.
