Heidi Vander Bauwhede
Heidi Vander Bauwhede is Professor at Ghent University. She holds a PhD from KU Leuven (Belgium). She was a visiting scholar at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business (US). She also visited Maastricht University (The Netherlands).
Her research focuses on the determinants and economic consequences of high-quality corporate reporting and independent third-party verification of corporate disclosures. She is also involved in studies on the performance
(i.e., profitability, growth, productivity) of businesses. Her research has been published in various international academic journals, such as Auditing: A Journal of Practice and Theory, Corporate Governance: An International Review, European Accounting review, Accounting and Business Research, Small business Economics, and Corporate Social Responsibility and Environmental Management.
