August 24–28, 2026: Empirical Macroeconomics Summer School
(04-02-2026) Empirical Macroeconomics Summer School – Ghent University (24–28 August 2026) The summer school will be taught by Christiane Baumeister (University of Notre Dame, NBER, CEPR) and will focus on Bayesian methods for structural VAR analysis.
We are pleased to announce the Empirical Macroeconomics Summer School, which will take place from 24 to 28 August 2026 at Ghent University.
The summer school will be taught by Professor Christiane Baumeister (University of Notre Dame, NBER, CEPR) and focuses on state-of-the-art Bayesian methods for structural VAR analysis, with applications to monetary policy, labor markets, and oil price fluctuations.
The course is intended for PhD students, researchers, and practitioners with an interest in empirical macroeconomics. Participants will gain practical Bayesian VAR tools that can be directly applied in academic research and policy analysis.
In addition, the program will offer opportunities for bilateral meetings with the professor, allowing participants to discuss their own research projects.
An early-bird registration fee is available until 1 April 2026.
