Workshop on Empirical Macroeconomics

The Macroeconomics, Policy and Econometrics Research Group of Ghent University annually organizes a Workshop on Empirical Macroeconomics. 

Aim

Ghent University’s 8th Workshop on Empirical Macroeconomics will take place as an online event on 20-21 May 2021 through the Zoom platform.

The aim of this two-day workshop is to bring together researchers working on topics in empirical macroeconomics and macroeconometrics to present and discuss their ongoing research. We invite contributions related to macroeconomic policy, business cycle analysis, economic growth, and macroeconometrics. Further information about the event and the programs of the workshop’s previous editions can be found on the workshop website.

The workshop will start at 1:00 pm on Thursday 20 May and will finish around 7:00 pm on Friday 21 May. 50 minutes of time will be devoted per paper.

Workshop organizers are Selien De Schryder, Gerdie Everaert, Freddy Heylen, Yasin Kursat Önder, Marco Onofri, Gert Peersman and Ewoud Quaghebeur.

Call for papers 

The submission deadline is 9:00 pm CET on Friday 2 April 2021. Papers should be sent to empiricalmacro@ugent.be. Authors of accepted papers will be notified by the 18 April 2021.
