Elien De Thaye is doing research at the Laboratory for Medical Biochemistry and Clinical Analysis in the field of oncology and biomarker-guided chemotherapy.
Main research interests: Modelling of pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic data, bio-analysis, cell culture and animal models of cancer.
Seen the potential use of pharmacodynamic (PD) biomarkers for treatment individualization, this research project aims to combine in vitro/in vivo xenograft models and pharmacokinetic (PK)-PD modeling to investigate a PD biomarker-guided therapy for patients with peritoneal carcinomatosis.
