Pieter-Jan De Sutter graduated as a pharmacist from Ghent University in 2019 and joined the Laboratory for Medical Biochemistry and Clinical Analysis in the same year as a PhD student. In 2024, he completed his PhD entitled: "Reliability of Physiologically Based Pharmacokinetic Models for the Prediction of Drug Distribution and Tissue Concentrations". As a postdoctoral researcher at the Laboratory of Medical Biochemistry and Clinical Analysis his work focusses on using modelling and simulation techniques (PBPK, PopPK-PD) to address therapeutic challenges in drug dosing (posology), drug-drug interactions and deprescribing.
