Special dentistry treats individuals with special needs, patients with mental disabilities, anxious adults and medically compromised adults.

Patients with mental disabilities or syndromes

For these patients, dental care is provided within an appropriate setting. In doing so, no age limits are set to ensure continuity of care. Generally, care is provided in the regular dental chair. Treatment can be provided under sedation or anaesthesia.

Anxious adults

Fear remains a major obstacle to dental visits for many patients. Usually, care is provided in the regular dental chair, but the approach is adapted to anxious patients. Treatment can take place under sedation or anaesthesia.

Medically compromised adults

Patients with complex dental situations requiring special attention for complications can receive dental care here. Typically, care is provided in the regular dental chair. Treatment can be provided under sedation or anaesthesia.
