Graduate Support Network

The Graduate Support Network is an initiative by and for PhD students and postdocs within the Department of Literary Studies.

Starting a career as a researcher is a fairly unique experience, with specific challenges, frustrations and pleasures; an experience that is difficult to relate to friends and family outside of the academia, or even to researchers at a different stage in their career. 

The Graduate Support Network (GSN) organises monthly informal gatherings for early stage researchers, with the aim to:

  • discuss common concerns;
  • provide support;
  • offer tips for a greater well-being;
  • stimulate interactions between colleagues outside of a research-related contex
