QOALA

The QOALA-project (Quality Of Autistic children's Life through Animal-assisted therapy) is a doctoral research project within the RiDDL lab and is focused on exploring Animal-Assisted Therapy (AAT), as a possible approach to improve the quality of life of children and adolescents with autism. Based on a theoretical model and an inventory of existing practices, it aims to evaluate the effectiveness of two forms of AAT, Equine-Assisted Therapy (EAT) and Canine-Assisted Therapy (CAT), in an experimental study. The project aims to contribute to inclusive, tailored treatments that focus on well-being and Quality of Life, focusing on scientific evidence through robust methodology.
