Ijlal Haider

I am an Electrical Engineer having strong interests in signal processing and machine learning for diagnosis and prediction of brain related conditions. In my current research, I am working to predict Autism at early stages of life by analyzing EEG and fNIRS signals. I am also interested to see how effective EEG and fNIRS co-acquisition is to understand brain activities and conditions.

I have received my bachelor’s and master’s degrees, both in Electrical Engineering, from Bangladesh and Pakistan in 2007 & 2012. I have worked as Lecturer in universities in Pakistan and I have also been a visiting researcher at the University of Glasgow, UK and Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS, Malaysia. I volunteered for the Institute of Electrical & Electronic Engineers (IEEE) in several roles.

I like to read books, understand differences and diversity in personal beliefs, ideologies, cultures and languages.
