She worked as a clinical psychologist in a rehabilitation centre, gaining extensive experience with children who have neurodevelopmental difficulties. She is currently pursuing her PhD at the RIDDL Lab at Ghent University. Her research project focuses on Prognosis of Language Development in Regressive & Non-Regressive Autism. The research aims to identify pivotal factors influencing language development outcomes within these two distinct subgroups of autism, with a particular emphasis on therapeutic interventions. The primary goal of this research is to shed light on the effectiveness of various therapeutic interventions in promoting language improvement among children with regressive and non-regressive autism. By conducting a rigorous analysis of language development outcomes in both groups, this research aims to enhance our understanding of language development within the context of autism and lay the foundation for more individualized and efficacious interventions for children with autism, considering their onset pattern. She has also worked as a child placement supervisor for master's students from Riphah International University, Pakistan.
