television.jpgLong dismissed as ‘mere popular culture’, television has become an increasingly important field of study since the 1980s. Notwithstanding several consecutive proclamations of the ‘death of television’, Western audiences remain infatuated with television content across different screens. At CIMS, we research television from local and global perspectives, attentive not only for the television text itself, but also for the way it is produced and consumed, and its relation to broader media contexts.
